Advocate for 35% Affirmative Action: Collaborate with key stakeholders to push for the implementation and enforcement of the 35% Affirmative Action policy for women in appointed and elected positions.
The AJU Morgan Elumelu Foundation is embarking on a transformative project to increase women’s participation in political leadership in Nigeria. This initiative, titled Her Voice, Her Vote, focuses on encouraging more women to run for political office and advocating for implementing the 35% affirmative action for women in appointed and elected positions. We seek to partner with a core international organization dedicated to advancing women’s rights and gender equality in leadership. Together, we aim to drive impactful change by building a strong coalition that promotes equal representation and amplifies women’s voices in Nigeria’s political landscape
